ABSTRACT
As petition growing much more fierce in the global market
place and the higher demand on the product quality price and
punctuality of delivery from the customer, the traditional production and
operation model is lagging far behind to meet them It is always a task
for the manager to plish on how to improve the management
level consolidate and strengthen pany’petitiveness
The background of this paper is the IT manufacturing sector and the
study object is the Hard Disk (HD) Branch of Mitsubishi Chemical
Infonics ( MCI) It presented and analysis in depth on the current
situation of product management quality management and the
production flexibility from the aspect anization chart and
production and operation management It pointed out the four main
problems with the branch willful waste unstable product quality
disorderly working place and high employee turn over rate Those
problems has affected in the bad way on the employee’s moral working
efficiency product cost and quality accident The profit of HD branch
was lower year by year and petitiveness was dented
The HD branch management took the action by implementing JIT
and 5S in the shop floor after realizing the problems The management
intends to tackle the problems improve the production and operation
management level and improve the branch’petitiveness by
introducing the advance production and operation model
The paper described in detail on the measures and the methods of
how HD branch put forward the JIT and 5S It also pinpointed the
deficiencies of the implementation and provided some personal advices
As the accession of China into the WTO the IT manufacturer in
