I. Teaching Objects:
A. Knowledge objects:
By the end of the class, most students should be able to:
a. guess the meanings of some new words by pictures and sentences.
b. learn different greetings around the world.
c. infer the deep meaning of the sentences.
B. Ability Objects:
By the end of the class, most students should be able to:
know the general idea and the structure of the passage by scanning and skimming.
understand the details of this passage by answering some questions.
use the new words and phrases they learned to give a brief introduction about different greetings around the world.
C. Moral Objects:
By the end of the class, most students should be able to:
know body language is also very important in communication.
We should be polite and show respect in communication.
II. Teaching Analysis:
A. The analysis of teaching:
This lesson is a reading passage. It plays a very important part in the English teaching of this module, because we should lay particular emphasis on the students’ reading ability in senior English teaching.
