摘要
本翻译实践报告原本节选自著名的青少年文学家曹文轩的小说《根鸟》一书，该书叙述了一名叫做根鸟的少年成长史，是一部虚幻且具有浓重现实意义的心灵成长小说，书中文字充满神秘与梦幻的色彩。全书共分为菊坡、青塔、鬼谷、米溪、莺店等五个章节。笔者选择了小说第四章进行翻译，并根据原著中的语言特点，在功能对等翻译理论的指导下对青少年文学作品的翻译进行了探讨与分析。
纵观国内的青少年文学市场，有大量优秀的外国文学作品被翻译成中文并广受好评，但中国本土的优秀作品走出国门却举步维艰，翻译研究更是寥寥无几。因此，笔者选择试着将这部优秀的本土作品译出，希望对中国少年文学作品走出国门起到积极的推动作用，并且翻译过程中在功能对等理论的指导下探索恰当的翻译方法和策略。
本篇翻译实践报告一共分为6个部分，第一部分是任务描述，主要介绍了这部作品的背景和选材原因及意义。第二部分是任务过程，包括译前准备、翻译过程、译后校对三个方面，明确了翻译过程中所需要的背景知识、工具书，以及确保译文质量所采取的翻译理论。第三部分是文献综述，主要通过翻译学术资料对当前青少年文学翻译现状以及功能对等理论对文学作品的指导现状做出研究。第四部
