Lawyer gets years for falsifying evidence in gang trial: Beijing lawyer Li Zhuang was jailed for two years and a half Friday forgiving false evidence and inciting others to bear false witness in anized crime gang trial in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality.     “涉黑”律师因伪造证据被判刑两年半:上周五,北京律师李庄因在为重庆市一个有组织犯罪团伙辩护时伪造证据,以及教唆他人作伪证而被判处有期徒刑两年半。
文中的falsify evidence / give false evidence / bear false witness都是指“伪造证据,犯伪证罪”,是指证人、鉴定人、记录人或者翻译人在刑事诉讼中,对与案件有重要关系的情节故意作伪证的行为。Court of first instance(一审法院)对被告判处了limited / fixed-term imprisonment(有期徒刑)。如果情况恶劣,criminal case(刑事案件)的defendant(被告)还有可能被判处life imprisonment(无期徒刑)。     anized crime offence(有组织犯罪),并在detention house(拘留所)探访罪犯时密谋falsify evidence,进行reverse his former confession(翻供),声称遭到torture by the police during interrogation(刑讯逼供)。在civil case(民事案件)以及情节轻微的criminal case中,双方可进行conciliation out of court(庭外调解)。

China to shift to prudent ary policy next year: China will shift its ary policy stance from relatively loose to prudent next year, the Political Bureau of munist Party of China (CPC) mittee decided Friday.     中国明年将转向实行稳健的货币政策:周五召开的中共中央政治局会议称,中国明年的货币政策将从适度宽松转为稳健。
Prudent ary policy就是指“稳健的货币政策”,也称为sound ary policy,指根据经济变化的征兆来调整政策取向,当经济出现衰退迹象时,货币政策偏向扩张;当经济出现过热时,货币政策偏向紧缩。最终反映到物价上,就是保持物价的基本稳定。与之相对的是今年实行的relatively loose ary policy(适度宽松的货币政策)。在货币政策领域,央行直接向市场注资的一种货币政策手段称为quantitative easing(定量宽松),其实就是央行
