Abstract—Ammonium adsorption characteristics of the in soil, sediment systems and even active sludge have been
denitrifying filter and the biologically aerated filter backwashed published recently, but the study of adsorption of ammonium in
sludge and influence factors such as sludge concentration, sludge biofilm is infrequent. And BAF is a process what produce a
activity and effect of chemical coagulants were investigated. large of biofilms and the biofilms are produced intensively in
Ammonium was found to be adsorbed to both kinds of backwash. The objective of this paper is to investigate the
