METHOD:Analyzing and discuss the relationship of the discount rate in pharmacoeconomics and the society in China, following the aspects of:objective requirement and factors influencing the social discount rate, application field of cost-benefit analysis and the relationship of the discount rate in pharmacoeconomics and the society in foreign countries. RESULT: The discount rate in pharmacoeconomic evaluation of China should be equal to the social discount rate. CONLUSION:The discount rate in pharmacoeconomic evaluation of China should be 8%.
