偏离——布莱克诗作《天真与经验之歌》文体分析

摘要

产生于上世纪 60 年代的现代文体学,作为语言学科中最为重要的研究领域
之一,受到了语言学家们越来越多的重视。现代文体学与其它学科一样,在其发
展的几十年中产生了众多的理论和学派,偏离理论便是其中重要的一支。文学作
家在创作时经常使用偏离的手段,从而达到吸引读者注意力、标新立异等目的。
英国浪漫主义诗人威廉·布莱克的诗作素以简单的韵文与直白的情感闻名。
而这些看似简单的文字却常常包含了各类偏离手段、蕴藏着丰富的含义。过去,
研究布莱克诗作的学者们大多把目光投射在其诗歌的主旨和象征意义上,而鲜有
语言学方面的研究。
本文对布莱克的著名诗歌集《天真与经验之歌》进行了尝试性的文体研究,
从不同层次分析了诗歌中出现的外部及内部偏离现象,揭示了其诗歌特别是早期
作品独特的文体风格。
第一章介绍了本文的主要内容和结构,以及研究的目的和意义。第二章概述
了多年来文体学家对于偏离现象的研究及相关理论发展,阐明了本研究的理论基
础。第三、四、五章是本文的主体部分,分别从语音(第三章)、韵律(第三章)、
词语(第四章)、句法(第四章)、语义(第五章)、语境(第五章)等六个不同
层次分析了诗集中出现的偏离现象,并对这些偏离现象的意义和美学作用进行了
讨论。第六章总结了本文的研究结果。
根据本文研究发现,在《天真与经验之歌》中,布莱克并没有采用非常华丽
或刁钻古怪的字词,其诗句的韵律和语法结构也颇为简单,偏离的程度并不高。
但这些看似平淡无奇的词句,却常常给人以思想上的冲击。这是因为他在作品中
使用了大量的语义及语境偏离,包括各种比喻、象征、反讽等手法,从而达到抒
发情感、传递信念的作用,而这也正是其诗作的独到之处。

ABSTRACT

As one of the most important branches in linguistics, modern stylistics, which
appeared in the 1960s as an independent discipline, is receiving increasing attention
across the field, thus there have appeared quite a few important concepts and theories,
among which deviation is one of the major notions. Deviation is a device frequently
adopted by writers of literary works to attract the reader’s attention, and to
differentiate themselves from other writers.
William Blake, one of the greatest poets in British Romantic Age, is well known
for his simple verse with embedded bareness of his emotions. However, those
seemingly simple words and expressions were by no means simple with regard to the
meanings and implications they convey, and some of them frequently and greatly
deviated from the normal use of language. Former researches have been generally
done within the scope of literary criticism, that is, most of them deal with the theme
and symbolistic effects of his poems, while the linguistic characteristics are rarely
discussed.
