●解题技巧●
对篇章的整体把握,是做好选词填空的关键。
一、研读备选词,初步理解词义。标注词性,把选项按词性分别归入名词、动词、形容词、副词等类别。
二、通读全文。凭借语感或固定搭配,主动推测空格中所缺失的信息。然后,寻找匹配的答案。只有看完全文,了解了内部的句子逻辑,才能大致掌握空格处的上下文意思。尤其注意仔细研读文章开头的一两句话,尽量从中捕捉更多的信息,为后面的阅读扫清障碍。
三、复读检验,消除疏漏。完成所有空格后,再次通读全文。检查下面几点:行文是否流畅,意义是否连贯,逻辑关系是否合理。

Martin Murray is a school boy and he is fifteen years old. He used to be a problem child. He used to give his mother many 83. However, after his father’s death, Martin’s life became much more difficult. His mother couldn’t afford to pay for her 84 education. She had to work, and so was often not at home.
