Jane Eyre——the portrait of Charlotte Bronte
Abstract
It caused a sensation in the world of library since Jane Eyre had published in the middle 19th century and it still continues to affect generation after generation in their minds until now. The heroine of the work is Jane Eyre who is a girl of treason, freedom, equality, self-esteem and purity and all this characteristics attract the focus of many authors. After reading this book, the author finds that there are a lot of striking similarities between Charlotte and Jane: The resemblance is reflected not only in their life experiences, but also in social status, and the similarities in their character, mentality are more important. Therefore, the author thinks, Jane is partly Charlotte Bronte’s self portrait.
