Data Processing to Deformation of Building Based
on the Fractals Theory

Abstract

In order to accurately describe the deformation of building, get a hold of
deformation trend, seek the cause of deformation and prevent accidents to protect
the safety of buildings, it is needed to measure deformation of buildings. The study
analyzed deficiencies of data processing for existing deformation measurement and
the causes of building deformation and preventive measures, described the
strengths and weaknesses of existing building deformation measurement methods
as well as the scope of application, then made prehensive description of
several existing kinds of data processing method in building deformation
measurement, and introduced the fractal theory and demonstrated the applications
of the theory in other fields including in building deformation measurements,
further more, the study analyze the feasibility of fractal theory applied in
building deformation, then gave a method of data processing in building
deformation based on fractal theory. The study took subsidence observations of a
city of 27-story building in 120 days for 60 times for example, processed and
analyzed the data and discussed the deformation trend based on the model. This
study mainly includes the following aspects:
(1) Analyzing the causes of general building d
