【摘要】美国大学经过300多年的发展,形成具有自身特色和符合现代大学制度特点的教师聘任制度,促进了大学的发展。美国大学教师聘任制度为我们理解大学制度提供了一个重要而独特的视角,认真考察美国大学教师任用制度,对于做好我国大学教师聘用管理和人事制度改革具有很好的启发和借鉴作用。

Abstract:After more than 300 years of development, American University has formed the appointment system of teachers which has its own characteristics and is in line with features of modern university system, promotes the development of the University. American University Teacher Appointment system provides an important and unique perspective for our understanding the University system , carefully examine the system of appointment of teachers of American University, University of teachers hired for the good of the personnel system reform of management and good source of inspiration and reference.

大学是学术研究的重地和培养精英人才的摇篮,大学承担着人才培养、科学研究和服务社会的功能,而要实现大学功能,离不开优秀的师资队伍。在大学制度建设中,教师聘任制度是其中的重要内容。建立符合大学制度特点和要求的教师聘任制度,不仅是高等教育事业发展的需要,也是大学自身建设的重要内容。
一、美国大学教师聘任制度的特点
从美国大学的历史来看,其大学制度的形成无疑深受欧洲大陆教育模式和德国大学的影响。在学习、借鉴英国、法国、德国等国家大学制度的基础上,美国大学立足本国的实际,不断变革求新,适应社会变化。经过三百余年的制度变迁,形成具有自身特色的制度,顺应了大学发展的要求。作为其重要内容的教师聘任制度也随着大学制度的改革而不
