摘要
经济一体化的今天,运用“本土语言”诠释现代设计,使我们的设计具有鲜
明的民族、区域特色,并在世界占有一席之地,而不被强势文化所同化,是建立
具有民族特色与风格的设计体系的有效途径。而作为承载着中原文化的大足石刻
传统图案,就是我们熟悉的“本土语言”,也是我们体现个性和传统的有效载体,
因此,掌握和创新地加以利用大足石刻传统图案,是构筑具有中原风格和中原文
化特色的现代设计体系的需要,也是延伸和拓展石刻传统图案的需要。
在提倡民族个性,挖掘民族传统,建立具有民族特色与风格的现代设计体系
的大背景下,作为中原文化集大成者——大足石刻,其丰厚的民族文化传统是现
代设计的宝藏。而作为承载中原文化传统图案就成为设计师创意的灵感和源泉。
将大足石刻传统图案应用于现代设计,不是对传统的继承,而是一种发展性
的求舍,传承中的扬弃,以及对传统的再创造,因此,对于大足石刻传统图案的
改良与取舍是很有必要的。首先,应该深刻理解和掌握大足石刻传统图案的精髓;
其次,在保持同时融入设计理念,并找到旧元素向新元素转换的方式使传统图案
得以改造。改良后的元素不仅能传递现代设计观念,还能够真正传递符合现代产
品的功用,从而摆脱传统图案在使用上偏差,使建立具有民族个性的现代设计体
系成为可能。
就现代设计而言,从体现民族个性和民族传统的角度来看,大足石刻传统图
案是体现文化意义的捷径,丰富的载体。对于传统造型元素的选择和利用是反映
地域概念与传递文化背景的手段。但是,旧有的造型元素与现代设计在设计观念
审美意识和审美需求等方面均有不同程度的偏差,因而会在应用时产生一定的局
限性,这种偏差和局限性,恰恰违背了现代设计所要求的,在地域文化的背景下
传递现代设计观念和时代精神的主旨。如果传统造型元素滞后于形式与观念的印
记而无法消除的话,建立具有民族个性的现代设计体系就是空谈。

Abstract
