【基础知识】
正误判断类阅读主要表现在:一是结合材料所述事实的判断,二是对事实所描述的现象进行推测性判断。前者一般比较好处理,在紧扣材料,细心寻找s的基础上能较为容易地得出答案,而推测性判断则要在充分领会作者意图和准确分析语句内涵的前提下,有根据地进行推断,进而确定答案。常用方法有排除法、反证法、比对法。

Once there was a king who has two servants who worked so well and so honestly (诚实的) that he made them captains (上尉) in his army. The day after they had e captains, the king saw them and said, "What is the reason for your ing captains, do you think?"
The first captain answered, "It is because I am a lucky man. " But the second said, "It is because you are kind and generous (慷慨的)."
The king said that he liked both the captains' answers. "To show you that I'm pleased with you, I'm going to give each of you a present," he said. "Both presents have the same value (价值), and both are from my own gardens. " He then gave the first captain a coconut (椰子) and the second a bunch of ripe (成熟的) bananas. But when he was giving the bananas to the second captain, he secretly took a very valuable ring (戒指) off his finger (手指) and pushed it into one of the bananas.
While the two captains were walking home, the second captain told the first that his wife did not like bananas, and asked him whether he was willing (愿意的) to give him the coconut and take the bananas.
The first captain knew that his own wife did not like bananas, either, but as he was an unselfish (不自私的) man, he said that he would do as the second captain wanted because he was his friend.
That evening, the first captain began to eat the bananas and found the ring in them. At once, he hurried to the king with it. When the king saw it and heard what had happened, he went for the second captain and said to him, "I wanted to give you the ring because you said that I was kind and generous; but it seems (似乎) that your friend really is lucky man as he said!"
