相比礼貌,不礼貌出现的频率有过之而无不及。日常交往中的面子威胁行为比比
皆是,更别说在辩论、军队训练、法庭质证等活动中不礼貌更是发挥着主要作用。然而,
对于不礼貌的无处不在,学者们有意或无意地选择了漠然视之。这种漠然在礼貌研究和
不礼貌研究的严重失衡中可见一斑。在国内,不礼貌研究存在的地位甚至受到了质疑。
而且,仅有的关于不礼貌研究的论著也并非无可挑剔。因此不礼貌方面的研究确实需要
更多的努力。
本文旨在探讨美》中的不礼貌现象。本文的研究既有理论意
义又有实践意义。从理论方面来讲,在对现有不礼貌研究成果进行批判性回顾的基础上,
本文将丰富深化该领域的研究;从实践方面来看,本文的应用研究性质使其不仅可以帮
助人们更好地理解交际中的各种不礼貌现象,而且还有助于情景喜剧的欣赏和创作。
在维索尔伦的功能性综观的语用学理论框架之下,使用语言的过程就是进行选择的
过程,而这些选择是以语言的变异性、商讨性和顺应性为基础的。语言使用的三个特性
中居于最高层面的是其顺应性。对顺应性的考察应从四个方面来进行:适应性的语境相
关成分;适应性结构对象;适应性动态过程和适应过程的意识突显性。顺应论尤其适用
于对不礼貌现象的考察,因为不礼貌涉及来自物理、社交和心理因素的影响。
在顺应论的理论框架之下,本文尝试着探讨了热及全球的美》
中的不礼貌现象。本文的主要结论如下:语言使用者的多种角色尤其角色的转变及确认
对于不礼貌的产出和理解发挥着重要的影响;不礼貌现象发生在语音、词汇、句子、超
句等每个可能的层面;不礼貌现象对于情景喜剧中的人物塑造发挥着重要作用;剧作家
对不礼貌的钟爱来源于人类心理的因素;情景喜剧中的不礼貌有其独有的特点:在产出
阶段,无论在频率还是在强度方面,不礼貌都被夸大了;而在理解阶段尤其对观众而言,
它又在很大程度上得到了认可和批准,它的强度又大大地降低了。

Abstract
Impoliteness is as frequent as, if not more frequent than, politeness. Everyday
munications teem with face-threatening acts, let alone the central role
impoliteness plays in debating, the army training progress, courtroom examination and the
like. However, in spite of this pervasiveness, scholars choose to neglect impoliteness either
consciously or unconsciously. A clear proof of this is the extremely serious imbalance
between the study of politeness and that of impoliteness. In China, there is even doubt about
the status of impoliteness study. What’s more, the available theories on impoliteness are not
watertight. Therefore more efforts are indeed needed in the study of impoliteness.
The objective of this thesis is to investigate the phenomena of impoliteness in the
American Friends. This thesis is of great significance both theoretically and practically.
