Abstract
With the fast development of munication technology, cognitive radio
that can improve the spectrum utilization is considered as the most effective technology of
resolving the tension of spectrum resource and relieving the pressure of resource.
Spectrum sensing technology is the most key technology for implementation of cognitive
radio, hence it arises as a highlight research topic in munications.
This paper defines the current and significance about spectrum sensing technology of
cognitive radio, analyzes all kinds of spectrum sensing technologies, that lay a theoretical
foundation for research. In order to solve the bad affection of spectrum sensing caused by
the shadow fading, multipath fading and hidden terminal, the cooperative spectrum
sensing technology is introduced. In terms of different cooperative modes, this thesis
mends the cooperative spectrum sensing scheme based on the fusing rule and the
multi-user cooperative spectrum sensing scheme with relays.
This thesisr focuses on the detection performance for multi-user cooperative spectrum
sensing scheme with the best relay. The system model is improved based on the
cooperative spectrum sensing scheme and a cooperative detection border is proposed to
decide whether relay users are needed for cognitive users. A theoretical analysis is
introduced for the detection performance of the proposed scheme over Nakagami fading
channels. The theoretical expressions of detection time and agility gain for
non-cooperative spectrum sensing scheme and the proposed scheme are derived, then
numerical results are proceeded. The results show that detection time is reduced
substantially and agility gain is also increased greatly by the multi-user cooperative
spectrum sensing scheme over Nakagami fading channels. Besides, agility gain is
