ABSTRACT
Since Halliday and Hasan published their book Cohesion in English in 1976, coherence became a popular topic of text analysis and translation, attracting more attention from linguistics of different schools. With the development of text linguistics, more and more scholars have applied its achievements to the theory and practice of translation. Text linguistics has brought new vigor into the translation field.
