英语学****笔记 001 （语法—名词 / 冠词）
名词的功用：当主语、辅词、受词。
一、名词的种类
1、普通名词： book、 pencil 、dog 等
2、集合名词： class 、family 、 audience 等
3、专有名词： Bob，April ， London 等
下列专有名词需要加上定冠词 the
the United States 、 the United Nations
4、物质名词： glass 、wood、paper 、fruit 等
数字 +容器（度量衡） +of+ 物质名词
a cup of coffee 、a sheet of paper 、a spoonful of sugar 、a handful of sand 5、抽象名词： beauty 、honesty 、love 、patience 等，不可数名词。
二、名词的数
可数名词的个数为 1，单数 / 个数为 2 以上，复数。
规则变化的复数名词
㈠名词字尾加 s（大部分名词）
dog—— dogs、book—— books、 girl —— girls
㈡名词字尾为 s、sh、ch、 x、 o 加上 es
class —— classes 、bus—— buses、dish —— dishes 、 bench—— benches box—— boxes
注意，名词字尾为子音 +o，复数名词加 es，如 tomatoes 。但有例外： photos ，
pianos 等。
㈢名词字尾为子音 +y；去 y+ies 。
baby—— babies 、story —— stories 、 city —— cities 、lady —— ladies
㈣名词字尾为 f 或 fe ；去 f 或 fe+ves
leaf —— leaves 、wife —— wives 、 knife —— knives 例外： handkerchiefs 、chiefs 、roofs
不规则变化的复数名词
㈠名词字尾为 en，ren
ox—— oxen、child —— children
㈡改变母音
man—— men、woman—— women、 goose—— geese、tooth —— teeth 、 mouse—— mice
㈢单复数同形
fish （数量时）、 deer 、 sheep、Chinese 、Japanese
two kinds of fishes 两种鱼
