PREFACE
Thermodynamics of nonequilibrium and irreversible processes is par
atively new area of thermodynamics that goes back to the 1950s. This area is
traditionally considered plex and inapplicable for routine chemical
investigations. Therefore, the traditional version of this discipline usually is
taught to only those chemical students who have a very strong background
in physics.
