名词的分类
专有名词、普通名词
普通名词：可数名词，不可数名词
可数名词：个体名词，集体名词
不可数名词：物质名词，抽象名词
在汉语中可数，但在英语中为不可数名词的某些词
advice, baggage (luggage), clothing, damage, equipment, furniture, homework, information, machinery, news ...
不可数名词的量化表示
修饰可数名词复数: many, a good/great many，a good/great/large number of
修饰不可数名词: much, a great deal of, a large amount of
两者都可修饰: a lot of, lots of, plenty of, a great/large quantity of, quantities of, a large sum of
一管牙膏、两罐果酱、三块肥皂
一罐啤酒、两块方糖、三团毛线
一小撮盐、两粒米、三份汤
一根棒糖、两盒牛奶、三大块巧克力
以S结尾的名词
有些名词虽以s结尾，但是单复数没有变化，要根据上下文的语义来决定其单复数形式：means, series, species, works等；
有一些名词虽然以s结尾，却并不是复数形式，如某些学科的名称等；
有些表示较多数量的名词通常只用其复数形式：belongs, remains, savings, stairs, surroundings, wages等。

名词做主语时，主谓一致问题
集合名词做主语时；
有些名词虽以s结尾，但在意义上是单数，因此谓语动词要用单数；
有些名词只用复数形式，谓语用复数；
用and连接两个或两个以上的单数名词时，谓语用复数；若and连接的两个名词是指同一个人或指同一个概念时，谓语用单数；
A as well as / with B，谓语与A一致；
either A or B, neither A nor B, not only A but also B, 谓语与B一致。

数学很难学。
我的眼镜在哪里？
他们夫妇都是广东人。
那个老师，以及所有学生都将参加运动会。
不仅所有的老师很生气，而且校长也很生气。
