1. Gender Budget

We should focus on not just the numbers in the budget, but the policies and planning behind the numbers, and ideally, what will happen when the policies and plans are implemented. Gender analysis should lead to changes in planning, policies and budgeting. Budget that is allocated to planning and policies will better serve the needs of men and women, boys and girls”.
In 2003, the scope of review was extended to government revenue and budgetary expenditure.

2. Participatory Gender Budgeting in Wenjiao
Participatory gender budget, a form of participatory budgeting, refers to the process in which government budget is considered at a democratic consulation from a gender perspective, to examine the impact of government budget on men and women, the policies and planning behind the budget, and the effect of budgeting. The goal is to make the government improve policies, planning and budgeting, to better meet the needs of both genders.
