大学生英语写作考试焦虑的实证研究

摘要
外语学习中,影响学习者成败的变量很多。外语焦虑就是其中重要的情感变量之一,
而考试焦虑是外语焦虑中的一个重要因素之一。过去二十年来,关于外语焦虑的研究如雨
后春笋,势头强劲。研究结果一再表明,考试焦虑对考生的考试结果有着重要的影响。许
多研究表明,考试焦虑与学生的考试成绩,听力成绩和口语成绩呈负相关关系。但对于大
学生的英语写作考试焦虑状况的研究甚少;对于英语写作考试焦虑和写作成绩的相关性研
究也不多。
本文首先探讨了大学生的英语写作考试焦虑状况及其影响因素。然后研究了大学生的
英语写作考试焦虑是否存在水平、年级及性别的差异。最后本文还讨论了英语写作焦虑与
英语写作成绩之间的关系。
本次研究采用定量和定性研究相结合的方法,随机抽取了南航金城学院的 154 名非英
语专业大学生进行研究。所有数据来自英语写作考试焦虑量表和影响英语写作考试焦虑因
素的问卷调查与学生的期末写作成绩。数据用社会科学统计软件包 SPSS11. 5 进行了处理,
相继使用皮尔逊相关分析及独立样品 T 检验等统计手段。
结果表明,大部分学生都存在英语写作考试焦虑。此外,不同水平和不同年级的英语
写作考试焦虑差异不明显,但是女生的英语写作考试焦虑略高于男生。英语写作考试成绩
和英语写作准确度与英语写作考试焦虑程度呈现显著的负相关关系。
基于上述研究结果,本文就如何降低英语写作考试焦虑,提高英语写作成绩提出了建
议。最后,作者指出了本研究的局限性并对今后研究提出了建议。

An Empirical Study of English Writing Test Anxiety among College Students
ABSTRACT
A lot of learner variables are generally said to influence the ess or failure of language
learning. Among these, foreign language anxiety has often been regarded as one of the most
important affective variables, and test anxiety is one of the most important elements of foreign
language anxiety. During the past two decades, numerous studies have consistently reported that
test anxiety has great effect on test performance. Despite the consistent negative correlations
between test anxiety and course grades, listening performance, oral performance respectively,
few researches, if any, have addressed the situation of English writing test anxiety among college
students and relationship between English writing test anxiety and English writing performance.
This thesis first investigates the situation of English writing test anxiety among college
students and factors affecting their English writing test anxiety. Next it explores differences of
English writing test anxiety among college students in different grades, genders and levels.
