结束对话——中英文对话结束语研究

摘要

近年来,随着现代化大众文化的普及,人们越来越多地接触到各类电影电视作
品。其中,电视剧领域的“肥皂剧”成为了广受欢迎的一种电视艺术形式,拥有
数量惊人的观众群。“肥皂剧”一般以讲述轻松的生活故事,表现逼真的生活情
景以及运用独特的喜剧效果来吸引大众。而在该类剧集的艺术表达形式上,以人
物之间大量生活化的对白为主,这些对白真实地反映了拍摄背景下的地方文化和
语言特点。
从语言学的角度出发,尤其是对话分析领域,“肥皂剧”忠实地体现了日常对
话的一些显著特点,并且反映了语用学领域的一些原则在现实中的应用,如言语
行为策略。在过去的十几年中,基于流行影视作品的语言学研究很好地证实了该
类研究的可行性。
本文认为中英文对话在对话结束语策略的运用上存在一致性,同时在具体的应
用方法以及策略的侧重方面存在一定差异。本文语料选自两部广受欢迎的“肥皂
剧”,英文的《老友记》以及中文的《家有儿女》,并从两部剧集的台词中选取了
各 50 多段包含结束与的对话进行研究,具体研究在上世纪七十年代起的萨克斯、
谢格洛夫等语言学家的相关理论框架下展开。由于通过研究,发现了中英文对话
结束语方面各自的倾向性,本文还就中英文对话结束语策略使用的一致性及区别
展开了讨论。
本文旨在通过一些研究和对比,突出对话结束语策略应用的现实意义。同时,
希望通过对这一对话分析领域的具体探索,进一步体现跨语言对话策略研究在跨
文化交流过程中的实际意义,从而对跨文化交流研究产生一定帮助。

ABSTRACT

With the development of modern mass-media culture, people nowadays have a
much easier access to various movie and television productions, among which soap
operas enjoy the greatest popularity and the largest audience. Soap operas which are
always presenting relaxing life stories attract people with its daily setting, authenticity
to real world situations and its edian effects. Conversations between
characters in soap operas serve as the main pattern of expression with the language
characteristic of the culture in which the operas plant their roots.
From the linguistic aspect, especially in the field of conversational analysis, soap
opera conversations reflect the basic features of daily dialogues as well as
frequently-used pragmatic approaches such as speech act strategies. Linguistic studies
based on popular s which have been conducted over the past decade provide us
with the evidence of feasibility.
This thesis indicates that Chinese and English share the same closing strategies in
conversations while differences in the frequency or specific methods of applying the
strategies remain between the two langu
