近年来,越来越多的外来民工涌入城市,他们为城市的发展做出了巨大的贡献。但与此同时,外来民工子女的基础教育也成为了一个不容忽视的问题。外来民工子女的教育问题关系到我国社会的稳定和未来的发展,因此,如何保障流动人口子女接受义务教育的基本权益,已经成为社会转型时期难以回避的综合性的社会问题。本文通过对嘉兴市外来民工子女教育的调查与分析,发现目前主要存在着外来民工子弟学校教学质量难以保证、外来民工子弟学校校舍及教学设施简陋、外来民工子女教育机制尚未完全理顺、外来民工子女教育收费仍然偏重等主要问题,并在分析问题产生主要原因的基础上,提出提高认识,强化落实地方政府责任、完善机制,构建城乡一体的基础教育体系、统筹规划,充分发挥公办学校主渠道作用、规范管理,切实改进外来民工子弟学校办学行为、增加投入,不断加大对外来民工子女教育的扶持力度和完善保障,不断提高外来民工的各类待遇等一系列有针对性的对策建议。
