名师押题:
预测一高考阅读理解所选材料通常都是国外网站上的地道的英语文章,然后经过命题专家整合、改编而成。文章主要介绍国内外的文化风俗、历史名胜、人文地理、著名人物等。
预测二文章的篇幅较短,词数多为280~330,兼顾多种体裁,通常有记叙文、说明文、议论文、应用文等,要求考生充分利用所给信息,回答文章提出的问题。通常文章难度不大,关键是考查考生高效处理信息的能力,还要求考生对文章有更深层次的理解。但是题目并不容易,很容易出错。全国卷的命题逐渐向地方自主命题卷,尤其是新课标地区的试卷看齐,不断增加词汇量和文章长度,向新课标过渡。
预测三题目设置灵活多样,通常以细节理解题为主,推理判断题为辅,兼顾猜测词义、句意题及目的意图题和主旨大意题。这种命题特点要求考生更好地了解文章中的有用信息,提高阅读速度。

【押题1】科技说明文是高考常考的内容,应该引起高度注意。
Barry Brown is with the Mobile Life Centre in Stockholm, Sweden. The center studies puter interaction, or HCI, munications involving wireless devices. We spoke to Mr Brown by Skype. He told us about an incident involving a friend who had flown to an airport in the eastern United States. There he borrowed a GPS-equipped car to use during his stay.
Barry Brown: “And they just plugged in an address and then set off to their destination. And, then it wasn’t until they were driving for thirty minutes that they realized they had put in a destination back on the West Coast where they lived. They actually put their home address in. So again, the GPS is kind of “garbage in garbage out”.
Mr Brown says this is mon human error. But, he says, what makes the problem worse has to do with some of the ings, or failures, of GPS equipment.
Barry Brown: “One problem with many GPS units is they have a very small screen and they just tell you the next turn. Because they just give you the next turn, sometimes that means that it is not really giving you the overview that you would need to know that it’s going to the wrong place.”
Barry Brown formerly served as a professor with the University of California, San Diego.
While there, he worked on a project with Eric Laurier from the University of Edinburgh. The two men studied the effects of GPS devices on driving by placing cameras in people’s cars. They wrote a paper based on their research. It is called “The Normal, Natural Troubles of Driving with GPS.”
